Kayapo Children's Scholarship Fund

Three young Kayapo girls are getting ready to go to college, but they need help in getting enough money for tuition. What is a lot of money to the Kayapo is a small amount for the rest of us, so every small donation goes a long way. It costs 130 Brazilian Reais per month, or 520 Reais per semester which comes out to only 170 American Dollars to send each of these young women to college. Tania, Maiel, and Oe Paiakan Kayapo want to go to college so they can help their native tribe on their fight to keep the rainforests alive, taking courses in biology, law, and businiess.

The Kayapo are dedicated to protecting the Amazon Rainforest because it is their home. It is important for the rest of us because protecting these lands helps to insure that we have clean air to breathe in the future.
